California Myotis

(Myotis californicus)

myotis californicus

One of the smallest of the bats in the U.S., California Myotis are insect eaters that seek out large concentrations of insects, often over water. They roost in a wide variety of places, including rock crevices, trees, and buildings. These bats hibernate in caves and mines.
