Yuma Myotis

(Myotis yumanensis)

Myotis yumanensis

Yuma Myotis are found foraging where there is water. They emerge when it is nearly dark, and forage just above the surface of streams and ponds. They form large maternity colonies, though as with many bats, males take no part in care of the young and are usually not found near nursery roosts. They lead somewhat solitary lifestyles.
